City tour with guide - walk in the picturesque "Borgo Antico", the old town shaped as a fortified citadel from which you may enjoy a suggestive view on Sea and on "Trabucchi" typical wooden structures for fishing. Among main sights worthy to be mentioned, the Swabian Castle "Castello Svevo" dating back to the Norman age (9th century) but renovated and fortified by Emperor Frederick II of Swabia, hence the name of the castle itself. The Cathedral "Duomo"in Romanesque-Gothic style (13th-14th century), dedicated to "Santa Maria della Purificazione".

City Tour with guide - Walk in the medieval old town of the regional capital of Molise. In a real labyrinth of alleys, squares and stairways, you climb up to the Monforte Castle which dominates the whole city. Along the way you can admire, among other things, the Cathedral, remains of the walls, the ancient access doors and valuable Romanesque churches. Visit to the Samnite Museum. One of the best ways to get to know the Samnites, an ancient and warlike Italic population capable of humiliating the Roman army during the wars fought against them.

In an area of Samnite origin, the Romans founded the city of Saepinum - Altilia (2nd century BC). Inside the walls, you can distinctly admire the remains of the Forum, the Theater, the Basilica, the Temples, the Baths, the Macellum, the various access doors and other important buildings, private (the Domus), public (the workshops) and sacred buildings.

Visit to the Paleolithic Museum.
The finds preserved in the museum and dating back to 700,000 years ago, come from the archaeological area of the Pineta and testify the prehistoric human existence in the area, " Homo Aeserniensis", a close relative of "Homo Erectus" and "Homo Sapiens".
Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon the guided excursion to Castel San Vincenzo and its archaeological area, to admire in particular, the Benedictine Abbey, the frescoes (IX century) into the Crypt of Epiphanius, among the most important examples of European medieval painting.
The excursion then proceeds towards the homonymous lake up to its belvedere by enjoying an amazing view. Back to Isernia.
